The 2008/09 season was the teams first taste of full 11 a-side football, with bigger pitches, larger goals and off-side rules to follow. The boys adapted well to all of these changes and should be proud of their season. The squad size was increased and we were delighted to welcome 5 new players to the club, Chaz, Ollie, Dizzy, Geordie and Keat.
Eagles U10 Whites were GBPFL U10 League Champions in 2007/08. A fantastic final season in mini soccer, with an unbeaten run of 16 games, including 11 consecutive winning matches and scoring 68 goals. The boys played some great football and developed a strong team spirit throughtout the season. A brilliant achievement - well done!
In May 2008 the boys went on tour to Clacton to participate in the Mitre Cup. A great weekend was had by all with the team finishing mid table against some strong opposition. The boys have always played football in the right spirit and were rewarded by winning the Fair Play award for the U10s. The team received their trophy from Billy Bonds.
In 2006/07 the team started at U9 level, with four boys coming from the previous years U9 squad and six boys being new players for the club.
The boys had an encouraging first season together finishing mid table in the GBPFL U9 Division B.
