F.A. Charter Standard

F.A. Charter Standard [8 Jul @ 6:27pm]

Many thanks to the Managers and Coaches who have given up their time to attend the necessary courses required to gain this award. The granting of this award to Eagles F.C. by the F.A demonstrates the Clubs committment to the boys and girls of our club. The FA Charter Standard Programme provides recognition that clubs are well run and sustainable, with child protection and safety paramount. It also recognises a club's commitment to coaching, player and coach development, and the raising of standards of behaviour in the game. FA Charter Award The Charter Standard for Football Clubs introduced during 2001 has 3 key aims Raising Standards Recognise good practises Reward quality Clubs achieving the Charter Standard have to meet several criteria including: All Managers & Coaches trained to FA Junior Team Manager Level, which include Emergency First Aid. Designated Child Protection Officer who attends FA Child Protection Workshops. All Managers/Coaches/Helpers to complete FA Personal Disclosure forms. Club is to have a written Constitution which makes reference to accounts, codes of conduct, child protection and equity. Codes of conduct for Managers, Coaches, Players and Parents. The codes refer to Fair Play, Respect, Behaviour and Expectations. Commitment to attend at least one FA in-service training event. What does this mean to Eagles F.C.? - In real terms parents whose children are lookin to join a well run football club will always look for the Charter Mark. When we are looking for serious funding from various bodies, holding this Charter Mark sigificantly enhances our chances of being succesfull in our bids. Quote From Jamie Redknapp (Liverpool & England) My dad knew where to send me to get a proper football education, but many mums and dads are not so lucky. That why the F.A Charter Award for Clubs is such a good idea, for the first time parents will know the best club in their local aread to send their kids to. Reasons why the Charter Award can be withdrawn We have all worked hard for the Charter Award and we can all be proud of what we have achieved. However a note of caution, it is all to easy to have the award withdrawn. It is important that managers/players/supporters are aware of circumstances that can lead to the withdrawal of the award, these are as follows: 1. Any club found guilty of assault on a referee or assistant, by a player, official or spectator will have its award withdrawn. 2. Any club not found to be positively supporting the Football Association's anti-rascism campaign will loose its award. 3. Any club found guilty of spectator misconduct on two occasions by the Football Association will be invited to meet with the Charter Standard Committee who have the authority to issue a formal warning, which could lead to the remove on further notice. 4. Any club found guilty of official misconduct on two occasions by the Footall Association will be invited to meet with the Charter Standard Committee who have the authority to issue a formal warning, which could lead to removal on further notice. 5. Any club that reaches * disciplinary points (as described in County F.A. Memorandum), will be invited to meet with the Charter Standard Committee, who will have the authority to warn as to future conduct, or request that the Football Association remove the Charter Standard from the whole club. (* At present each county sets its own points level, after which time clubs are in breach of the County F.A memorandum).
